We've developed a specific approach for children who are frightened of water, and many of our students start with this fear.

Our Deep Pool Method starts beginners in water where they cannot stand on the floor. This prevents children from developing a dependence on touching the pool floor. When children learn to rely on the floor for security, transitioning to deeper water later becomes frightening. By starting in deep water from day one, they never develop this dependence.

On the first lesson, we provide a starter kit consisting of a back float and arm bands. When the child enters the water with this equipment, they float naturally. The coach tells them "See, you're floating like an astronaut." This immediate success builds confidence from the very first moment.

Because beginners never experience standing on the floor, they don't think about it or miss it. The fear response that sometimes develops when children are moved from shallow to deep water simply doesn't occur.

The typical timeline for a child without major water fears to reach independent swimming is approximately one year, assuming regular lesson attendance.

Most schools teach freestyle first because it looks impressive fast. Parents see kids swimming in six weeks. But here's the problem: SwimSafer Stages 2 and 3 require breaststroke plus survival backstroke not freestyle. When kids who learned freestyle first hit Stage 2 they plateau for months relearning proper kick technique. It's like teaching someone to run before they can walk.

We teach breaststroke first because it's the foundation for survival strokes like treading water and sidestroke. It accelerates SwimSafer progression by thirty percent. It builds proper breathing habits early.

Our quality control system includes mandatory annual SwimSafer recertification. Industry requires this once. We enforce yearly. Senior coach oversight means every session is monitored by head instructors. Our in-house training program doesn't just hire certified coaches. We train them in SSA methodology.

Flagship means premium experience with our in-house coaches and max quality control. Affiliates mean convenience closer to home with more time slots. Both follow same curriculum and same SwimSafer standards.

Flagship Classes are sessions we control completely. We hire the coaches, we manage the curriculum delivery, and we maintain direct quality oversight. Currently, we have three Flagship locations: Sengkang, Yishun, and Bukit Canberra.

At Flagship Classes, you'll typically see four to six coaches teaching simultaneously at the pool, each working with a different SwimSafer level. This multi-coach structure is what enables the visual level segregation system to function effectively.

Regular classes involve affiliated coaches or small swim schools who teach at other locations across Singapore. We refer students to these instructors when the timing or location of our Flagship Classes doesn't suit their needs. These affiliated coaches follow SwimSafer standards and we curate them carefully before making referrals.

This network approach means we can serve families across 27 locations whilst maintaining concentrated quality control at our three Flagship sites.
